There are lots of visitors at each moment and there's only one path, so be prepared for that. Truly, a unique volcanic structure.

It's estimated that it formed 60 million years ago. Beginning in ancient times and continuing until 1777, the site was a part of the Clan MacQuarrie's Ulva estate.
